About the Campaign
On 7 July at 8am, the International Transport Workers’ Federation and International Dockworkers’ Council are calling on to observe a day that recognizes the important contribution dockworkers make to the global economy, the risks they face at work every day, and their growing concerns for the future regarding attacks on their working conditions. A tribute to fallen and injured comrades will be included.
We want to see action being taken locally, regionally and globally on 7 July at 8am your local time, around these key issues:

- Respect for collective bargaining rights and agreements

Unions
Unions
- Organise an activity, it could be a demonstration or a meeting to support the day of action. Use the campaign materials (in English, French, German and Spanish) to support your actions.
- Nominate a key contact person to keep in touch with the ITF, ETF and IDC about your plans. Email contact details to Dockers@itf.org.uk and/or coordination@idcdockworkers.org Please put key contact person in the subject box of the email

- A leaflet aimed at the public and employers
- A placard you can feature in your photos. Print out copies and get dockers to write why they're proud of the job they do plus their name and locaiton. Here's an example.
